BA (Hons) Fine Art (Level 6 top-up)
The degree is delivered from our Bristol School of Art, Queens Road located in the heart of Clifton student life. It will be taught over 3 days a week focusing on four main modules which centre on practical work underpinned by research. Throughout the course you will be encouraged to make links between your individual practice, art theory, and engagements with Fine Art practice and practitioners in social, community, and/or commercial contexts. You will also have the opportunity to take part in collaborative and individual projects and will produce a body of work that could be exhibited in an exhibition context. Emphasis will be placed on enabling you to develop your voice as a professional creative practitioner and sessions on business planning and publicity will be taught alongside your studio-based practice. A research-based module will encourage you to explore a topic of relevance to your emerging practice. You will have an individual space within a larger studio for the duration of your studies.
The programme aims to provide students with high levels of creative thinking, technical, intellectual and communication skills, as well as developing an individual creative identity.
