SGS College wins Provider of the Year

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College have been presented with the Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year Award at the Bristol Post and Bath Chronicle Apprenticeship Awards 2017.

The Awards ceremony, held at Ashton Gate on Thursday 18th May, was an annual event to celebrate the most outstanding apprentices and recognise the work that employers and training providers contribute to apprentices in the area.

Patrick Mcleod, Curriculum Director for Apprenticeships at SGS College, commented: "We were thrilled to collect the Training Provider of the Year award, which recognises the quality of our apprenticeship delivery and also the strong relationships we have with many employers in the area.

“We were also very pleased that two of our apprentices were recognised at the event.   Jessica Sutton was named outstanding apprentice of the year in the health, education and care category, while in the construction category the award went to Kai Douglas of John Perkins Construction.”

This is the second time this year that the College has been recognised for outstanding work, having won the Large College Award at the Apprenticeship4England Awards at a prestigious event in London a few months ago.
