We understand that it’s important for you to know where you’re going to live while you’re studying in the UK, particularly when you’re not familiar with the local area. Our Accommodation Officer can help by arranging your accommodation before you arrive, and offering ongoing support.
Most of our accommodation is situated in pleasant residential areas with easy access to college and Bristol city centre.
There are three main types of accommodation available:
Homestay: if you’re moving away from home for the first time, you may prefer the security and home-from-home appeal of a room in a family home. This is the ideal chance to learn about family life in the UK, while practising your English. Host family accommodation includes breakfast, evening meal and a couple of loads of washing per week.
Self-catering in a family home: here you have your own bedroom and live within a family home, but you are more self-sufficient and cook for yourself.
Rented accommodation: living in a rented/shared house gives you more independence. You can only rent if you’re staying in the UK for at least six months.
We can arrange homestay or self-catering accommodation for your first month in the UK, and help you find a house or flat once you’ve settled in. We can’t arrange rented accommodation in advance, as you’ll need to sign a contract with the landlord once you’ve arrived in the UK.
