Who can apply?

Childcare will be funded for children aged from 3 months to 13 years.

Childcare must be provided by an Ofstedregistered provider.

The County Council"s Children"s Information Service can help you find a childcare or nursery provider. Contact them on freephone 0800 542 02 02 or: childrensinformation@gloucestershire.gov.uk or: www.childrensinformationservice.org.uk

Students aged under 20 years there is no limit to the number of students who can be supported.Applications should be made to Care to learn.Contact the helpline on 0845 600 2809 or go to the website www.dcsf.gov.uk/caretolearn

Students aged 20 + can apply for childcare if in receipt of a means tested benefit. Funds are limited and available on a first come first served basis from the College.

 

Type of Benefit

Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)/Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Working Tax Credit (WTC), showing income less than £19500, Pension Credits.

Complete an Application for Financial Support form and an Application for Childcare form.

What do I need to do next?

You and your childcare provider will need to complete the application form and return it in person to the Funds Administrator in the Customer Services office at the College. Funded nursery education for 3 and 4 year olds.

 

Children

Your child will be able to have funded nursery education sometime after their third birthday. Your childcare or nursery education provider will be able to tell you when your child qualifies.

Your child will be able to have up to fifteen hours each week during term times.

Your childcare provider will be able to tell you when your child qualifies and what you need
