Course Description
Are you working within a salon and now feel ready to progress to the next level of management? Are you are highly self motivated and enthusiastic about your profession?

This course is a comprehensive and vocationally related qualification which will enable you to develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding and the skills to work as an advanced beauty therapist or hair stylist.

What will I study?
You will explore the physiology of ageing, the chemistry of hair and beauty products and relevant dermatology and microbiology for employment as an advanced beauty therapist. Learners will also develop the skills to enhance appearance using micro-pigmentation treatments, laser and light treatments for hair removal and skin rejuvenation and advanced epilation. Hair specialist units include:
• Hair colour correction
• Hair and scalp specialist services
• Studio photography and the principles of studio photography
• Manage the creation of a hair style collection Salon management, sales, public relations and marketing within the hair and beauty sector will be covered across both options.

What do I need to join?
You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in hairdressing or beauty therapy. Experience within the industry.

How long is the course?
This course runs over 1 year.

How will I learn?
You will learn within a salon environment, be taught via lectures and conduct research as self directed study, 1:1 tutorials and hands on practical activity.
