The City and Guilds Level 4 Diploma in Theatrical Make up is a comprehensive and advanced vocationally-related qualification where you will learn valuable skills help to ensure a successful career in today’s competitive industry The research undertaken and the personal development gained will enable you to build up a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the advanced skills required to work within this increasingly popular business. You will explore and research different areas of the craft and develop management skills.
What will I study?
Specifically, you will explore the physiology of ageing, learn studio photography and make up using prosthetics. You will create and cast small prosthetics pieces and bald caps, develop productions, art planning and research into the theatrical and media makeup industry. There are opportunities to develop your skills in management, marketing and human resources.
What do I need to join?
You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Media Make up or Beauty therapy. Experience within the industry will also be
an advantage.
How long is the course?
This course runs over 1 year.
How will I learn?
You will learn within a salon environment and be taught via lectures, 1:1 tutorials and hands on practical activity.
