Pottery Short Introduction

This course is intended for complete beginners and students that already have some experience of working in clay

Tutor led workshops

Students will learn the basic hand building techniques- pinching, coiling, slab-building and mould-made ceramics. Different clays will be used and a range of decorative techniques and firing methods will be investigated. Students will be given set projects throughout the course

You will be given equipment and a materials list at your first class. Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for use in a workshop environment.Extra costs are materials and firing fees. These will usually be around £10 for whole course depending on size and weight of work.
