Level 3 Databases is for those who need to create sophisticated databases to carry out advanced data analysis.

How will I know how I am doing?

At the end of the course you will take a skills based exam using a PC. There are 20 tasks for you to complete during the test, which will last one hour. You may not use books, courseware or your own notes during the exam.

Is previous experience necessary?

You will need to have thorough knowledge of Access and have passed a Level 2 Access exam. You will preferably be using Access on a regular basis.

How will the course be delivered?

You will be able to study in our Learn IT Centre’s in Stroud and Dursley at your own convenience and at your own pace, using expertly-produced courseware to help you develop your skills in the various modules with the help and advice of experienced, qualified Learning Co-ordinators

You will learn to use many of the advanced tools available in a Database application including

Do I receive a qualification?

You will receive an ECDL Advanced Databases Certificate.

What's next?

We also offer ECDL Advanced Presentation Graphics, Word Processing and Spreadsheets. If you successfully achieve all four ECDL Advanced units you may apply for the ECDL Expert certification. You will also be eligible to become an Associate Member of the British Computer Society and entitled to use the letters AMBCS after your name.
