ECDL Advanced Spreadsheets is for the individual who needs to create sophisticated spreadsheets and charts and to carry out advanced data analysis. Using Microsoft Excel, you will need to have thorough knowledge of Spreadsheets and have passed a Level 2 spreadsheets exam. You will preferably be using spreadsheets on a regular basis and have some understanding of mathematical and financial functions.
At the end of the course you will take a skills based exam using a PC. There are 20 tasks for you to complete during the test, which will last one hour. You may not use books, courseware or your own notes during the exam.
You will need to have a through knowledge of Speadsheets and have passed a Level 2 spreadsheets exam. You will preferably be using Spreadsheets on a regular basis.
You will be able to study in our Learn IT Centres in Stroud or Dursley at your own convenience and at your own pace, using expertly-produced courseware to help you develop your skills in the various modules with the help and advice of experienced, qualified Learning Co-ordinators.
You will learn to use many of the advanced tools available in a Spreadsheet application including

• Importing delimited text files.
• Using cell ranges
• Creating pivot tables
• Custom number formats.
• Creating scenarios and reports
• Linking Excel worksheets.
• Advanced Data Analysis
• Linking data and charts into a Word document.
• Using advanced mathematical and financial functions
You will receive an ECDL Advanced Spreadsheets Certificate.
We also offer ECDL Advanced Presentation Graphics, Word Processing and Databases. If you successfully achieve all four ECDL Advanced units you would be awarded the ECDL Expert certification. You will also be invited to become an Associate Member of the British Computer Society and entitled to use the letters AMBCS after your name.
