ECDL Essentials (British Computer Society) Level 1

This course is designed for students who wish to demonstrate competence in using basic tools in a format acceptable to employers across the EU.

You will be issued with an Individual Learning Plan to monitor your progress, and receive feedback from the Trainers.  At the end of each unit you will complete a formal assessment contributing to the overall award.

Ideally you will have successfully completed CLAiT.

The course will be delivered in the Flexible Learning Centre, either at Stroud College or Dursley Centre.  You will be supported by our Trainers who will always be available to assist you.

The modules are IT User Fundamentals, Using Email and Internet and Security for IT Users.

Yes, you will receive the BCS ECDL Essentials Certificate on successful completion of all assessments.

This course progresses naturally to ECDL Extra or CLAiT Plus.
