ICT Skills for Life is aimed at relative beginners.
There is an assessment at the end of each module, this takes place when both yourself and the Learning Co-ordinator feel you have acquired the necessary knowledge, and are arranged at a time suitable to you. To obtain a full certificate, students must complete all three modules.
There are no specific entry requirements. There will be an initial induction to assess your level.
The course will be delivered in one of Stroud College’s Learn IT Centres, which are situated in Stroud and Dursley. You will be provided with a learning manual to work through at your own pace. There will be experienced Learning Co-ordinator always on hand to assist you if you have any difficulties.
Modules include:
• Displaying Information Using ICT (an introduction to Word Processing using Microsoft Word)
• Using ICT to Find Information (an introduction to the Internet)
• Communicating Information Using ICT (an introduction to email using Outlook Web Access)
