This qualification is a natural progression for students who have just completed the Skills for Life course, therefore it is designed for students who already have some knowledge of using a computer.
There is a 2½ hour assessment at the end of each module. These assessments take place when both yourself and your trainer feel you have acquired the necessary knowledge, and are arranged at a time suitable to you. Practice assessments are undertaken prior to the formal assessment.
The course will be delivered in one of Stroud College’s Flexible Learning Centres, which are situated at Stroud and Dursley. You will be provided with a learning manual to work through at your own pace. There will be experienced trainers always on hand to assist you if you have any difficulties.
When you successfully complete the modules that you have chosen, you will gain an OCR ITQ Certificate;
The course progresses naturally to level 2 courses.
