ECDL Extra has been designed to provide you with an up to date IT User qualification for employment or leisure. This version of it follows the previous ECDL framework including the resources.
There is an assessment at the end of each module comprising of scenario based tasks, this takes place when both yourself and the trainer feel you have acquired the necessary knowledge, and are arranged at a time suitable to you.
You will be able to study in our Learn IT Centres in Stroud and Dursley at your own convenience and at your own pace, using expertly-produced courseware to help you develop your skills in the various modules.
You are required to demonstrate competence in five modules:
A. Word Processing
B. Spreadsheets
C. Presentation
D. Improving Productivity Using IT (Mandatory Unit)
On successful completion of all modules, students will receive a British Computer Society IT User ECDL Extra Certificate to confirm their competence as recognised by businesses across the European Community.
This course progresses naturally to ECDL Advanced Level Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database or PowerPoint.
