This module is suitable for anyone who wants to acquire the IT skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to use outlook.

How will I know how I am doing?

There is an assessment at the end of the module, this takes place when both yourself and the trainer feel you have acquired the necessary knowledge, and is arranged at a time suitable to you.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered in one of Stroud College’s Learn IT Centres, which are situated in Stroud and Dursley. You will be provided with a learning manual to work through at your own pace. There will be experienced trainers always on hand to assist you if you have any difficulties.

What will I learn?

1. Use advanced software facilities to co-ordinate email communications.
2. Create and use an address book for contacts.
3. Use personal information manager software to access, enter and amend information.
4. Manage mailbox and calendar files and folders.
5. Produce hard copy of weekly schedule, contact details and messages.

Do I receive a qualification?

If you successfully complete this unit you will receive the OCR Level 2 Cert IT Users (ITQ) single module certificate.

What's next?

This unit naturally contributes towards the whole L2 Certificate qualification, which can be achieved by completing further modules. The number of extra units required depends on the credit value of the units you choose (credits with a total value of 16 – one of which must be the mandatory unit – Improving Productivity worth 4 credits)
