Touch Typing

The E-type course will provide the skills to be able to type both quickly and accurately.   There are three awards Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Not everyone has a requirement to be able to type at the same speed.  Therefore, e-type results are graded based on typing speed to allow recognition for differing achievements.  Whilst accuracy remains a priority across all grades, typing speed will be rewarded at 20, 40 and 60 words per minute with either a Bronze, Silver or Gold result.  The qualification is assessed via an online test.

You will have 3 attempts to pass e-type, and even if you are successful on your first attempt then you will be given the opportunity to take the additional tests so that you may achieve a higher grade.

If you pass your first attempt and then are unsuccessful on further attempts then don’t worry, your first test will still count.

During the course you can access feedback and you can also sit a 5 minute assessment test.

Familiarity with a computer would be useful.

It is a fully packaged solution comprising computer-based training materials and online testing.

If you achieve 98% Accuracy and at least 20 words per minute.
