Employability Skills - Stroud College

This course is intended for anyone who is looking to gain work, interested in volunteering or looking to change job or career.

How will I know how I am doing?

Your progress will be monitored by your tutor throughout the course. The course is free on the basis that all learners will complete a basic English or Maths test at the end of the course. This will take about an hour and will be at a level that every learner will achieve.

Is previous experience necessary?

You will need details of your previous education and employment to help you complete a CV.

What will I learn?

The course will focus on practical help with job searching, CVs and interview practice from a friendly supportive tutor. In the last two weeks of the course, you will be able to work on your own CV, letters, applications or other individual work with support from a tutor at a level appropriate to your needs.  What will I learn?

Employability Skills Certificate in Adult Literacy

What should I bring?

You might want to bring a folder to collect handouts. Bring along your existing CV if you have one or a note of your previous experience if you don"t have a CV.

The College has Flexible Learning Centres in Stroud and Dursley where you can study further IT qualifications.
