Students at Stroud College have a clear voice through the two student governors who attend the College governing body meetings. The Student Council also represent you. They make suggestions as to how we can continually improve the college, please consider joining them. You can also raise ideas and issues in your course team meetings through student representatives or directly with your tutor or Learning Mentor.
At Stroud College we encourage you to live a healthy lifestyle and offer a range of interesting and healthy food in the refectory. The college has an exciting range of sports opportunities, extra classes, trips, events and enrichment activities and we encourage you to take advantage of these. We also offer the latest treatments in the hair and beauty salons at very low prices - call in to make an appointment.
Stroud College Students’ Union is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS) and is supported in its work in the college by a member of the Customer Services team. The Students’ Union provides you with the opportunity to make your own contribution to the day-to-day life of the college and there are a number of financial benefits of being a member.
The College Chaplain visits the college weekly and support is provided for all faith groups. You can also get help and advice on personal or health issues from a nurse who visits weekly or from a College Counsellor. We also offer an online counselling service. Customer Services and reception can provide you with details and these are also displayed on the Student Noticeboard.
As a student of Stroud College you will be treated with dignity and respect and we expect you will treat others in the same manner.
