"Teaching IT to students allows me to unlock the ‘inside’ of a computer to the students. Computers and IT are so sophisticated today that very few people understand how it works internally and how, as a computer scientist, you can control the 'behaviour' of a computer"

"Planning and designing websites and applications is a creative activity. I find it satisfying to see my students use their imagination and creativity to create a product which runs on the computer according to their design and plans."

Pauline has a B.Sc degree with maths and computer science as majors. She also have a PGCE teacher's qualification

Pauline has worked as programmer and designer of applications and then latterly as a systems and data analyst. She gained a lot of knowledge and experience working with the RAF on a large IT project.

"The discipline and precision that is instilled in the armed forced is an excellent quality to have when working in the IT world. I have travelled extensively (spending 2 years on a sailing boat). This experience has broadened my outlook on life and given me the strength of character to cope in the tough real world."
